Let's Talk About It

Heavenly Grammar | Lets Talk About It (Part 5)

Dear God, thank you for this idea. Thank You for entrusting me to spread Your word. God these next few blogs are going to be a blessing. I cannot wait to see how You use me. I pray that these messages feel right on time for those who read them. God move me out of the way, so that You can come in and do what You do. Forgive me for my sins, for Your glory, Amen.

This concept really tripped me out. I heard the phrase that, “God will turn what is supposed to be a period into a comma.” Then I thought about other common punctuations. God is the answer to any question(?) that life will give you. God never ceases to amaze me with what He can do! In every season of my life I have found that keeping God in the center, is the force that saves my life. Centering my life around who He is to me, instead of solely focusing on what He does for me. The relationship that we have with Christ is evident in the way we walk out our lives. Be intentional about noticing the punctuation that God is putting on this chapter of your life.

(Up to this point: this blog was started in 2023, God is allowing me today December 6, 2025 to finish it. God has been faithful and His presence in my life has been revealed even more over the last two years. Never thought I’d be in front of the keyboard again, but God placed me back in front of this for a reason. So Lord speak through me, Amen!)

The Period. (the moments that God gives direct instructions)

Direct instructions starts from the beginning of the Bible with the instructions that Christ gives Adam and Eve instruction of where they can and cannot eat (Genesis 2:16-17), the instruction that is given to Noah to build the ark with specified dimensions and who to gather to be on the ark (Genesis 6:13-22), the direction given to Abraham to leave his country, the promise of being the father of many nations even though at that time he was not a father at all, just to then be instructed to sacrifice Isaac, the son that he was blessed with 25 years after that initial promise (Genesis 12:1-3, 17:7-8 22:1-2), and all the way to the New Testament in one of my personal favorites: the redemptive story of Saul of Tarsus who became known to us as Paul directing him to stop persecuting believers, an encounter that impacted our faith tenfold (Acts 9:4-6). In each of these moments we see Christ giving these point blank, direct instructions. The interesting thing is that not all of the examples are moments of obedience. In fact most of these moments to the human mind would have been unimaginable. The God that gives direct instructions does not live in the boundaries of what our minds can fathom. It is believed Noah had never seen rain before being instructed to build that Ark, the concept of a flood was unfathomable. Abraham was childless and told not only that he would bear a child with his wife, but he would be the father of many nations. Even when Abraham tried to take matter into his own hands and had a child with Hagar, God still kept his promise through the nations built from Ishmael and Isaac. Paul was hunting and killing believers, in fact that was the main purpose of the trip that he was on when God addressed him in Acts. But God.

Quick Questions: Can you think of a time where God gave you direct instructions? Did you listen? Why or why not?

The Comma, (when God revives a situation that we believed was already finished)

Here we find moments of revival and divine interruption in the stories that were believed to be finished. Yet, if you live long enough and begin to look back over your life; you will see all of the scenarios that God placed commas(,) on what you believed to be a period.

There is a song by Maurette Brown Clark entitled, “It Ain’t Over“:

“I know the odds look stacked against you
And it seems there’s no way out
I know the issue seems unchangeable
And that there’s no reason to shout
But the impossible is God’s chance
To work a miracle, a miracle
So just know

It ain’t over until God says it’s over
It ain’t over until God says it’s done
It ain’t over until God says it’s over
Keep fighting until your victory is won”

“The impossible is a chance for God to work a miracle.”Let’s study His Word to see: In Mark 5, we meet Jairus, the man that is trying to get to Jesus to come heal his dying daughter. In this chapter we have what my exercise science professor would call a twofer: a single scenario that is satisfying two or more interest. We learn in this twofer the power of Christ and also the power of belief. Because right after the man gets Jesus attention, a lady that had been experiencing bleeding for 12 years had the faith that if she is just able to touch the garments of Christ she would be healed. She was indeed healed, but as she was getting healed the man found out that his daughter passed. What would it feel like to watch a miracle unfold in front of you, while being told the very need you brought to Him didn’t survive? Would you lose faith? Would you still believe that if He could heal the lady that was bleeding, then there still may be hope for my daughter? Maybe we should remember the reason that we go to Christ in the first place. We go to him not because he HAS TO HEAL or MUST HEALOUR NEEDS, but simply because of the fact that he is able to. We go to God with a period, because he is able to turn it into a comma. We go to God with our weight, because He is strong enough to carry it.

Lets focus on one moment in Mark 5:35-43

35 While he was still speaking, people came from the synagogue leader’s house and said, “Your daughter is dead. Why bother the teacher anymore?”

36 When Jesus overheard[a] what was said, he told the synagogue leader, “Don’t be afraid. Only believe.” 37 He did not let anyone accompany him except Peter, James, and John, James’s brother. 38 They came to the leader’s house, and he saw a commotion—people weeping and wailing loudly. 39 He went in and said to them, “Why are you making a commotion and weeping? The child is not dead but asleep.” 40 They laughed at him, but he put them all outside. He took the child’s father, mother, and those who were with him, and entered the place where the child was. 41 Then he took the child by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum”[b] (which is translated, “Little girl, I say to you, get up”). 42 Immediately the girl got up and began to walk. (She was twelve years old.) At this they were utterly astounded. 43 Then he gave them strict orders that no one should know about this and told them to give her something to eat.

“Don’t be afraid. Only believe.” There are seasons in my life that this verse is the only way that I made it through. Fear could not outweigh, my belief. The period of yesterday could not mean more to me than the comma that God was trying to insert today. 2023 could’ve been the period of this blog, but you’re reading my comma moment in 2025! KEEP BELIEVING, if it is His will, no matter the time between it will be completed!

Quick Questions: Do you believe that He can revive that situation? Are you making room for God to turn it around? Lastly, what is your perspective when you witness someone else be blessed? Are you envious or do you become hopeful because if He can do it for them, then He can also do it for you?

The Exclamation Point! (moments that God exceeds the expectation)

This section may have accidentally became my favorite while plotting this blog. WHY? Because God exceeded the expectation in the most unexpected way: He defeated the finality of death. There are so many stories of God exceeding expectations in people’s lives, but the most important one to our faith is Him exceeding the expectations by raising up from the dead three days later! They came expecting to see that the stone was blocking the entrance of the grave, BUT IT WAS ROLLED AWAY. They came expecting to see a body, BUT THERE WAS ONLY FOLDED LINEN! Thomas thought that everyone else was out of their minds, BUT THE HE FELT THE HOLES IN JESUS HAND. Jesus came to defeat what was thought to be impossible. The greatest beauty is that what surpasses our expectations was always God’s purpose in sending Jesus into the world.

John 3:16-17 says, “16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”

The resurrection exceeded expectations because God doesn’t just restore—He resurrects. He doesn’t just revive—He transforms. He doesn’t just meet needs—He exceeds them.

To Summarize

Heavenly Grammar reveals that God shapes our lives like sentences—with periods of clarity, commas of second chances, and exclamation points that break every expectation. A framework for understanding divine punctuation:

• Periods = God’s instructions

• Commas = God’s interruptions and revivals

• Exclamation points = God’s miraculous surprises

Together they show how God actively shapes our story.

In this moment, I feel that it is important to provide those who may need it an opportunity to get started on the right foot. Your greatness is coming, and I do not want you to miss out!

If you do not yet have a relationship with God, but you are feeling led to start, say this aloud:

Dear Father,

I now believe that Jesus Christ is Your only begotten Son, that He came down to our earth in the flesh and died on the cross to take away all of my sins and the sins of this world. I believe that Jesus Christ then rose from the dead on the third day to give all of us eternal life.

Lord Jesus,

I now confess to You all of the wrong and sinful things that I have ever done in my life. I ask that You please forgive me and wash away all of my sins by the blood that You have personally shed for me on the cross. I am now ready to accept You as my personal Lord and Savior. I now ask that You come into my life and live with me for all of eternity.

Father, Jesus – I now believe that I am truly saved and born again.

Thank You Father.
Thank You Jesus.

If you said either of these aloud and you believed it in your heart. I would love to personally congratulate you and welcome you to the family. He led you to this post for a reason. He used it to open your heart and ease your burden. Never forget that He loves you and has plans for you, that you have not even planned for yourself. Let Him use you. Yield yourself, so that He can show you the plans He has for you. All it takes it just a little trust, in Matthew 17:20 the Bible says, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow.

Dear God, thank You for life. In the midst of a difficult season, what may even be considered as a storm, I am blessed to have You on my boat. God, I just want to say thank You. There are things right now that I am dealing with that only You can fix. God I know that there are people who will read this, that need that same grace and mercy. God I know that it will follow us for the rest of our days. God I ask that You heal that room and everyone in it. I ask that You touch and anoint everyone that comes in contact with this room. Whether visiting or working, God please give them the wisdom to do Your will. God, I thank You for being with us in the midst of the storm. Forgive us for our sins. For Your glory, Amen.

“The sun’ll come out
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There’ll be sun!”

These words have rang in my mind for weeks now. As I have found myself in a dark moment for these past few weeks. While looking for the sun, I remembered something crucial to my faith. Even when I do not have the sun shining in my life; I still have the son in my life. Everything that I could ever need comes from Him. In the moments that my life is dark, He is my light. Rather the sun comes out today, tomorrow, next week or next year… I can rest in knowing that the Son is with me.

But Who Are You As You Wait On The Sun (Son)?

Within these past few weeks my mind has been all over the place. While waiting on the sun, I have felt weak, sad, hopeless… But God. The one thing that has kept me grounded is my faith in Christ. Faith that has replaced my fears. I am stressed, but I am reassured in those same thoughts. God is so good, that He breaks through those negative moments and fills them with positivity; things like love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. He gave me fruit. Random Bible verses that I have put into my spirit, come to the forefront of my mind as I struggle through the days. God was with me. God was for me.

God has proved that even when waiting on Him, He is still there. His grace and mercies are new everyday. God is good to those who wait on him, because something happens when you wait. I cannot explain it fully, but what I can do is use moments my life as a testimony. As I have waited on God, I have learned just how dependent I am on Him. I was trying to make sense of this feeling that helped me stay content, even though I was going through a storm. Then God put Lamentations in front of me. This verse sums up everything that I had and have been feeling God do for me each day. Lamentations 3:22-25 says, 22 The steadfast love of the Lord NEVER ceases; His mercies NEVER come to an end; 23 they are new EVERY morning; great is your faithfulness. 24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.” 25 The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.”

When you look into the mirror, trust and believe that you are looking at someone who is given new grace and mercies everyday. Trust that even when the sun is not out in your life, that the Son is still in the midst of everything that you have going on. He is with you and He is for you!

You got this pops! Love you dad! Joy is coming soon. The sun will come soon, but until then remember that the Son is with us. Wait on the Lord pops, He will renew your strength!

You’ve Probably Heard This Before.

Before we get started, Lord please annoint the hands that type the words of your love and grace. God use them to convey a message that is so moving that, they know you had to be apart of it. God please allow these words to heal, deliver, and protect each reader from anything the devil is trying to throw at them. God I understand that they might be familar with this text, allow these words to give them new insight. May these things be done in Your name, for Your Glory, Amen.

Trust me, You’ve Probably Heard This Before.

Let’s break this down. Starting with verse 20, “Now to him who is able to do far more than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,”

How many of you right now; during a time of pandemic, economic struggles, children being home with us 24/7, being a new homeschool teacher, and having to truly get to know ourselves need a reminder that we serve a God that will not only do all that we ask or think, BUT WANTS TO DO FAR MORE? How many of us needed to be reminded that the power he has, has been given to us?

His dead-rising, lame-walking, blind-seeing, and life-saving power.

That power is within us all, waiting to be used. The only bad part is that when we doubt God’s power, we doubt what he put inside of us to face our problems. We feel like he left us without the answers, when in reality he’s already given us the answers and we have to stop waiting and starting meeting God. That is why I strive to have more than a relationship with Him; I also want a fellowship. I know that a relationship can lead to one side doing more, but a fellowship means we are both working hard to make things work. It helps God see that I am just as eager to do my part, as I am for him to do his.

See, God does not only want to help with what we asked for, he wants to do MORE. He wants to help us be more, see more, feel more, help more, love more, and even have more, but first he wants you to realize that the power to do those things is already working inside of us. Like I said last week, you cannot pull out, what you have not put in. Imagine thinking that you can pull out something that you did not even know was there. That is not a probability that I am willing to rely on, but this is the beauty of our Intentional God. He does not try to hide things from us. He actually has laid out all the answers, we just have to do our part and fellowship (read, listen, yield ourselves) and we will learn those things that are in us.

When we stop looking at oursleves as a seperate organism, but instead a branch of God’s tree. Then, maybe we will realize not only His power, but the power He’s given to us. (John 5:15)

Now let’s tackle verse 21, “To him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Throughout all generations, our actions are larger than us. The affect of what we are doing now is not just impacting our life, but EVERYONE who will come after us. We must realize the importance of what we are or are not doing right now. We must understand that us losing faith, because our spirit feels alone during this pandemic is not just affecting how we deal with hard times. It could also have an effect on how future generations deal with hard times. So be careful the next time you decide to give up, because you are trying to handle it alone. Be careful the next time you do something without God, because you could be setting the precedent of what future generations do. You could also be directly affecting the life they live, because of your decisions.

Another thing that stands out as the doors of physical church is closed, and congreagations have been forced to fellowhship online is, “To him be the glory in the church.” When I was growing up my aunt used to sing a hymn that went like this, “Lord prepare me, to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true. And with thanksgiving, I’ll be a living. Sanctuary oh for you.” Right now that is what we are being forced to do. More than ever we are realizing, that we the people, are the church. The church is inside each of us. What we do outside of those four walls, beyond the hour and half on a Sunday is more important to our walk with Christ than ever before. So if you ever feel like you are struggling spirtually, struggling with life, struggling to realize the power God has given us then go to Ephesians 3:20-21.

Trust me, I know You’ve Probably Heard This Before, but I am beliving that you’ve never heard it quite like this before.

What Does Impossible Mean To God?

Dear Lord, may you get the glory for this. There are people who are dealing with life right now and feel like their bad days will never end. They are needing a reassurance of faith. Allow these words to be the reminder of the Power of the God we serve. What Does Impossible Mean To God?

When we are at our lowest moments. You know the moments where the only thing that seems possible is staying in that rut. This is where I think the fellowship with God is so important. As you read your bible, as you listen to gospel music and sermons, as you stop looking at certain things, you begin to realize something. You can ONLY pull out those things that you have put in your spirit. My grandma always told me this; you cannot expect to pull out a verse that you never read, just like you cannot expect to pass a test you never studied for.

Why is it important to put in?

Well, in life when you put in on something, it normally means you are going to get something back. Your spirit is the same way and getting out of that rut takes the same dynamic. How would you know that nothing is impossible to God, if you never read his miracles in the Bible? Putting in is important because it equips your faith for moments that help you battle your lows. You will never feel alone if you read about the sufficiency of His Grace (2 Corinthians 12:9). You will never question, is having just a little faith enough for God to hear you, if you read that you only need a mustard seed sized faith. (Matthew 17:20). You will know without a doubt, that he will never leave you in your lowest moment, if you read that he will never leave you not forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Lastly, you will know that God did not send His Son to condemn those who believe in Him, but to save them (John 3:17). There are many more blessings, miracles, and relatable stories that you are missing out on by not putting in on your fellowship with Christ.

The context of this moment we are focused on today, A man comes up to Christ, as he is teaching his disciples. He walks up wanting to know what good works must he do to receive eternal life. Christ let him know there is only one who is good, then told him to keep the commandments, if he wanted eternal life. Then He told him in verse 21, “if you want to be perfect, go sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in Heaven. Then come, follow me.” The man was sad because he had great wealth. (Matthew 19:16-22)

Let that sink in, he was content doing things he thought was good, but when he was told what would make him perfect he was sad.

Let’s Put The Bookmark Right There.

Right now, how many of us are trying to live right? How many of us are trying to do good? Trying to put works with our faith, but we have our vices that we just cannot let go of. We have those things that we love and idolize, and they get in the way of our love for God. These things are why it is impossible for man (humans), to be “good.” We all have vices that we cannot get rid of without God. If we tried 100 times, 99 times by ourselves, and 1 time with God. We would only truly be successful once, because we lack the strength that God’s grace gives us.

Why did he get sad when he was told that he had to give his possessions away and give to the poor? Maybe it was because we don’t mind giving the parts of us that don’t require much sacrifice. Yet, we want to make it to Heaven, where our God sacrificed His Son for us. I’ve noticed that about myself during reflection. I will give you my first fry or piece of gum, but that last one is a different discussion. I will give something as long as it is not leaving me without. I know I am not the only one. This is why we need to do things with him. Without him, we lack the love, the empathy, the courage, and grace to do the things that we KNOW we should do.

This is what makes our God so great, because he gave. He did not think about it, he did not question what he will gain or lose, he just gave. This is why we cannot do it on our own, but with him we can. I know that with him nothing is impossible, nothing is too hard, and nothing is too large. So, to answer the question, “What Does Impossible Mean To God?” it is simple. Impossible means nothing because he is the God of making the impossible, possible.

Go To Sermons: Part III: Grace For Them? (The Power of Grace and Truth) [Grace Like A Flood Part 7]

Before I begin, I pray that each of these words, are used to build His Kingdom. If you are moved by this know that it was not me, but the God within me. I pray that people realize that the condemnation of others, cannot stop the Grace of God. This is one for those people who think their actions are excluding them from God’s Grace, Lord please help them see otherwise. Amen.

What is God’s Grace?

Grace is a gift from our Heavenly Father, given through His son, Christ. It is the enabling power and spiritual healing offered through the mercy and love of Christ.

Those who believe, are saved by Grace. We cannot be better people, in hopes of receiving more Grace. It is unmerited, meaning that NOTHING we do is able to give us Grace. (Ephesians 2:8-9) God’s Grace is sufficient, it is everlasting. It is His Grace that covers our sins, that gives us the opportunity to get it right after sinning. If it was not for His Grace, I would be on a one-way train to hell. Honestly, if God was like us, then we would only have about two opportunities to get it right. If we do not figure it out within those two chances, then we would be given up on… BUT THAT IS NOT OUR GOD.

In this sermon, Pastor Mike, comes from John 8. In this chapter of John, there is a woman, brought in by the teachers of the law and the Pharisees. She had been caught in the act of adultery. The Law of Moses says that, because of her actions she should be stoned. The people that brought her, thought that Jesus, would be on their side and be eager to make an example out of her in order to keep the law.

BUT HIS GRACE!

As they are questioning Christ, he bends down and begins to write on the ground with his finger. He then said to them,Let anyone of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.In this moment, we see the Grace of God. Jesus knew that he was the only one in the room that never sinned. He knew that, if the people in that room were honest with themselves, then there would not be a stone thrown. Just think about the scene. Jesus is trying to teach, only to be interrupted by a group of people accusing a woman of committing adultery. Apparently, they only found her in the act, because there was no other party being accused. Jesus uses the woman, that was supposed to be shamed upon, as proof that even she deserved His Grace. That even she, at what is probably her lowest moment, is covered by His Grace.

This is another example of our intentional God! Christ does everything with a purpose, on purpose. As we understand this maybe we will be less fearful of people who want to throw stones.

The truth is in our lives, we have many people who love us and want the best for our lives. At the same time, we also have people who do not loves us and are waiting on our demise. We have people who are ready to throw stones, for every mistake that we make. The beautiful thing about all of this, is that we serve a God, who is not afraid to protect us from those stones. We serve a God that will not put on us, more than we can bear. What does that mean?

Even if a stone does hit you, God knew that you could handle it!

Now put that into your everyday life. You got fired from your job, he already knew that you could handle it. You got broken up with by your significant other, he knew you could handle it. You got some bad news that you were trying to avoid, HE KNEW YOU COULD HANDLE IT. GOD KNEW THAT YOU COULD AND THAT YOU CAN HANDLE IT! Now you’re probably asking, but what if it I cannot handle it? What if it’s a boulder?

ALLOW HIS GRACE TO BE YOUR STRENGTH!

Again, our God is very intentional. So, that stone that you think is too large… is really just testing the confidence that you have in Him, to help you aid the pain. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

Allow His Grace to be what you lean on no matter the situation. Even at your lowest point trust in God, that His Grace will cover you. Yes, there is even Grace for you, the (insert your problem).
